| Why do I need a portfolio? |

 One of the most obvious questions is also the one that gets asked the most. Why do I need a portfolio? It's actually very simple, would you go to a Doctor who does not even have a degree that proves he is? Or a lawyer who's not passed the bar? Each profession has its own requirements and needs. To really break into the modelling world the basic requirements is a portfolio. A lot of other things and accessories can help, but if you dont have a portfolio and a comp card or composite that you can leave behind, who is even going to bother with you? And, no, photographs of you by your cousin or casual snaps won't do, to be a professional you need to need to appear as one. If people think you're not serious about business (and mistake not, it is a very serious business) they will not be serious about you. |
